The Baobab Tree, founded in 2016 by Kimberly Lartey, CPM has become the home of black midwifery in Kansas City and surrounding areas. Kimberly is the first and only black midwife to serve the area in generations. We are excited to grow as a community and look forward to training other black and brown midwives in the near future.
